More is possible again: these are the relaxations in a row

Many of the relaxations have a maximum of thirty people in a room and reservations and a health check are mandatory. Small comment on these relaxations: the cabinet can still press the pause button.

Indoor sports locations open again and outdoor sports allowed for everyone

Gyms, swimming pools and other indoor sports areas are reopening. Competitions and audiences are not yet allowed and you will also have to change at home. The changing rooms will remain closed for a while, except in swimming pools.

Lovers of group classes in gyms will have to wait a little longer. These are not yet allowed. Children and young people up to and including 17 years old are allowed to play sports again in a group.

Outdoor sports in a group are again allowed for everyone at a distance of 1.5 meters, without public and with a maximum of 30 people.

Terraces open longer

The terraces reopened two weeks ago with limited opening hours. Something that many catering owners were not happy about. They may be able to indulge themselves now because they will soon be able to serve both breakfast and dinner again.

Extended opening hours are from 06:00 AM to 08:00 PM. The terraces at sports locations may also open their doors again.

Traveling to countries with low corona infection rates possible again

This relaxation takes effect a little earlier. From Saturday, May 15, it will again be possible to travel to countries with low corona infection rates.

From then on, the cabinet will stop advising against travel for the whole of Europe and will return to providing travel advice per country. It is not yet known which countries will switch from code orange to green or yellow, says De Jonge:

Amusement parks and the like are reopening

Amusement parks, nature parks, zoos and petting zoos are reopening. Outdoor game locations such as mini golf, climbing forests and outdoor playgrounds are also covered by this relaxation.

The following applies here: one person per 10 square meters. Reservations and a health check are mandatory. The indoor spaces on these sites, such as an indoor attraction or an indoor animal enclosure, will remain closed.

Many outdoor locations open again

Open-air museums, sculpture gardens and open-air monuments will also reopen. Again, one person per 10 square meters applies. Rental locations for boats, canoes and bicycles may also be reopened.

Advice to only make necessary journeys by public transport is canceled

The urgent advice to make only necessary journeys will expire on 19 May. However, new advice is given from the cabinet. The new advice is to travel at quiet times as much as possible and to avoid crowds en route and at stations.

Sex workers allowed to get started again

Sex workers have long been kept out of all relaxation, but they too are allowed to open their doors again.
