The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo have revealed more details about Koraidon and Miraidon, two Legendary Pokémon from the Paldea region that appear in the video games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
Koraidon (Pokémon Scarlet)
Koraidon is aware of its extraordinary strength and acts as if no opponent can threaten it. Although he is wary of people, he sometimes wants to play with them due to his whimsical and curious nature.
In Apex Build, Koraidon can jump off the ground and leap up to 20 meters thanks to the massive power of his legs. When he lands again, he can deliver devastating kicks and blows with his speed and body weight.
Orichalcum Pulse, by Ability van Koraidon
Orichalcum Pulse is Koraidon’s ability. This new ability will be introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. When Koraidon enters battle, the sunlight becomes blinding. In blinding sunlight, Koraidon’s attack is empowered.
New Attack: Collision Course
Collision Course is a physical Fighting-type move that Koraidon can learn. Koraidon leaps into the air, spinning towards his opponent and then hits him with a big bang. The power of this attack increases more than usual with a super effective hit.

Miraidon (Pokémon Purple)
While Miraidon seems accustomed to humans, he chooses his company carefully, using his ability to observe and understand a person’s character. He is calm and collected. The changes in Miraidon’s facial appearance are minor and only visible in the shape and color of his eyes. The robotic nature of Miraidon’s facial expressions makes it difficult to perceive the nuances of his feelings.
In Ultimate Mode, Miraidon floats in the air and due to its position has an advantage over opponents who can only fight on the ground below. Attacks with its claws and fangs are electrically charged. When Miraidon strikes his tail, he can use the energy generated in his internal organs to knock down even the strongest opponents in one blow.
Hadron engine, by Ability van Miraidon
Hadron Engine is Koraidon’s ability. This new ability will be introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. When Miraidon enters battle, he transforms the battlefield into an electrically charged terrain. When the ground is electrically charged, Miraidon’s special move is boosted.
New attack: Electro Drift
Electro Drift is an Electric-type special move that Miraidon can learn. Miraidon spins, zigzags forward like a bolt of lightning, and blasts his opponent with a great electric shock. The power of this attack increases more than usual with a super effective hit.
