Alvaro Morata still want to move to Barcelona. He is reportedly not happy with his transfer process being held up by the coach Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri.
Reported by Diario AS, Morata’s move to Barcelona was actually approved by Juventus as his current team and also Atletico Madrid, Morata’s rightful owner club. But Allegri does not want to lose his main striker if the Juventus directors do not give him a new striker.
Merry previously had accepted the fact that he had to lose Cristiano Ronaldo and ‘only’ got Moise Kean and Kaio Jorge as his replacement. Therefore, he no longer wants to lose a major player without a suitable replacement.
Especially now Juventus are in trouble on the front lines. They have only scored 28 goals in 20 Serie A games so far.
Barcelona himself reportedly still wants Morata. Coach Xavi Hernandez contacted him last Tuesday (4/1/2022), assuring Morata that Barcelona’s efforts were ongoing.
However, this transfer decision is not in the hands of Barcelona. While waiting for the process, Xavi must adapt and maximize the existing stock of attackers, such as Luuk de Jong, Ferran Jutgla, Ansu Fati, and Ferran Torres, if they can be registered.
Morata currently still the main striker Juventus. He has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists. But Juventus reportedly will not make his status permanent and he will be returned to Atletico next season, if no other club wants him.
