Through the X account, the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) reminds the general population that this Sunday, March 3, transportation is free nationwide on departmental and interdepartmental buses and minibuses.
This also includes pick-ups that are authorized by the Vice Ministry of Transportation, so that they can move people from rural areas to cities.
Public Works makes it known that no one will have to pay a fare for the collective service, regardless of whether they have to travel from San Salvador to the interior of the country or vice versa and as many times as they want.
The deputies of the Legislative Assembly issued a decree for free transportation on both days of the elections, with the objective of providing facilities for the population to vote freely at the national level for the president of the Republic, deputies, councilors, mayors and deputies to the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN).
