MOOC platform bundles over 290 free online courses

In 2015 the TH Lübeck, the TU Graz and the Hasso Plattner Institute (Potsdam) founded the association MOOChub. The primary goal of the initiative is to use synergies and offer those interested in education a greater variety of digital courses centrally. To this end, the three universities linked theirs MOOCPlatforms (Massive Open Online Courses) oncampus.from (TH Lübeck), imoox.at (TU Graz) and openHPI (Potsdam) to the largest German-language offer in this area. They recently looked at the artificial intelligence learning platform KI-Campus (funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research), the Virtual University of Bavaria (vhb) and the Future SkillsPlatform (Schleswig-Holstein) three new partners connected.

Now is the first time MOOChubPlatform below https://moochub.org available and lists or links to offers for German-language, open online courses. Interested parties can choose from more than 290 online courses on the website and use them free of charge. Regardless of whether this is done privately or through an educational institution – this option is unique in German-speaking Europe.
“The MOOChub-Verbund stands for the exchange of experience and transparency between the various platform operators – we want to further develop digitally supported learning and teaching in the German-speaking higher education area in a targeted manner, create uniform exchange standards and, in the medium term, develop uniform authentication and common quality standards, “said the head of teaching and learning technologies at TU Graz Martin Ebner, one of the MOOChubInitiators.

The partners also support the idea of Open Educational Resources (short OER, dt. free educational resources) and work on licensing educational content openly, making it freely accessible and usable.
