Monts Toulonnais Massif and Other Massifs in Var Closed Due to Severe Fire Risk: Updated Regulations and Access Rules

The Monts Toulonnais massif will be closed this Thursday, July 13 due to a very severe fire risk. The Var prefecture has also classified seven other massifs as severe risk.

The Var prefecture has just announced that the Monts Toulonnais massif is at very severe fire risk this Thursday, July 13. Access, traffic and presence in the massif will therefore be prohibited all day tomorrow.

Seven other massifs are at severe risk. Their access is therefore not recommended. These are the massifs of the Iles d’Hyères, Sainte Baume, Haut-Var, Corniche des Maures, Maures, Centre-Var and Esterel.

In case of severe or very severe risk, you must adapt your behavior and respect the rules inside the massifs. Nine out of ten fires are caused by human activity.
