Heartbroken by the images of many young people seriously injured in Ukraine, health care staff at the Montreal Children’s Hospital decided to produce videos to teach first aiders how to intervene and save more lives.
“It’s extremely hard to see the suffering of people, of children in that area, as in all conflict areas around the world,” says
They produced videos to teach Ukrainian rescue workers how to intervene and apply techniques to treat and resuscitate innocent victims of the conflict, such as premature babies.
It is aimed at health professionals and first responders, in a war situation, in a conflict situation, who may be called upon to treat traumatized children.
A private company has produced the videos for free, which will be available on the web.
For its director, children are the most important thing in the world. A family doctor from Montreal originally from Ukraine also participated in the production.
The videos can now be translated into several other languages, where there are war zones.
