220 students from all over France are expected from today until Friday in Montluçon. The IUT Sports Association organizes the French university boxing championships.
Three rings were set up at the Halle des Sports for this event, which had been postponed for the past two years. Boxing which has been offered to Montluçonnais students for a few years now.
Bruce Dehainaut is the organization manager for the IUT.
Boxers will fight in three categories (Elite, Hope, Assault) depending on their experience.
Four locals will be in the running, Esteban Bournat will aim for the title in the under 60 kg Elite category, Elise Maresco, Mohamed Kasni and Mamadou Barry will be in the Assault category.
Beginning of the fights this evening 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Halle des sports. Then tomorrow 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free admission.
