REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CIANJUR — The Cianjur Regency Health Service (Dinkes), West Java, received information that a Cianjur resident was suspected of having monkey pox (monkeypox) and undergo treatment outside the area. Responding to this information, the Health Office carried out an examination of the family members of the resident, who was in Haurwangi District, Cianjur Regency.
“No cases of monkey pox have been found in Cianjur. “However, we received information from the West Bandung Regency Health Office that they were treating a man with a Cianjur KTP who was suspected of being a monkeypox suspect, so a search and examination was carried out,” said the Head of Disease Prevention and Control. Cianjur Regency Health Office Frida Laila Yahya, Tuesday (7/11/2023).
According to Frida, it was reported that the monkey pox suspect had returned to Cianjur. Because of this, he said, his party was tracing his family members in Cianjur. He said that the examination of the family of suspected monkey pox was carried out by local health center officers.
Frida said that the Health Department carried out searches and inspections to anticipate the potential spread of monkey pox. Moreover, he said, the suspected monkeypox commutes from Cianjur to West Bandung every day.
According to Frida, the Cianjur District Health Office has also instructed all health workers at community health centers to take preventative steps and provide quick treatment when they find patients with symptoms such as monkey pox.
“We are increasing vigilance and preventing the spread, including when we find an indicated patient, immediate treatment is carried out quickly to prevent the spread,” said Frida.
