Monkey Pox Cases on the Rise in South Tangerang: Health Measures and Updates

“What is certain is that the first one is that they are already under our close medical supervision at the nearest community health center that we assigned to them. But the first two are already in improving condition,” said Benyamin in Tangerang, Friday (10/11/2023).

He mentioned a third monkey pox patients It is suffered entirely from the male group of productive age. Apart from that, they were also exposed after interactions in the DKI Jakarta area.

“They are actually interacting with people who work in Jakarta, so there is a spread in South Tangerang,” he said.

He explained that the South Tangerang Health Service, through the Ngider Sehat Program, continues to socialize various disease threats and promote Clean and Healthy Lifestyles (PHBS). “Through the Ngider Sehat health team, I continue to carry out outreach to residents,” he said.

He hopes that patients who are currently undergoing isolation will be disciplined in complying with medical advice and recommendations. So that the spread of monkey pox does not continue to spread, his party appealed to South Tangerang residents to immediately carry out health checks at existing health service facilities if they find the first symptoms of monkey pox.

“I hope that during isolation they will comply with the advice from the medical team. Take their medicine, do not come into contact with other people until they are truly declared healthy,” said Benyamin.
