Momoa and Bonet separate teams – VG

Celebrity couple Jason Momoa (42) and Lisa Bonet (54) are divorcing after 16 years.

The actor couple has confirmed the break-up through a joint statement on Momoa’s Instagram account.

– We have all felt the pressure and the changes in these times. A revolution is underway, and our family is no exception, he writes, adding:

– We share a family news: That we go our separate ways. We do it not because we believe it has news value, but because we can move forward with honor and honesty. The love between us continues, it says in the message that has been posted along with several photos, including two of a child holding a bird in his hand.

The couple started dating in 2005, but they did not marry until 2017. Together they have a daughter and a son.

Lisa Bonet became known to Norwegian TV viewers from The Cosby Show in the 80’s, and has previously been married to rock artist Lenny Kravitz.

Jason Momoa is best known from “Game of Thrones”, where he played Khal Drogo in the first two seasons of the series. He also starred in the superhero film «Aquaman» from 2016.
