More and more teams are announcing the selection for the Tour de France, which starts this Friday with a time trial in Copenhagen, Denmark. Bauke Mollema may immediately put on his champion jersey that he achieved on of NKas he is part of the Trek-Segafredo Tour roster.

The biggest news seems to be coming from Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl. According to the Belgian newspaper The newspapaer leave the team Julian Alaphilippe at home. The 30-year-old French world champion made his return to the French championship last Sunday after a heavy fall in Liège-Bastogne-Liège, but that is not enough for the team management to take him along. The final selection has not yet been announced.

Team UAE already announced the selection this morning. That team is built around Tadej Pogacar, the winner of the last two editions of the Tour de France. In his pursuit of a third win in a row, he will be supported by Rafal Majka, George Bennett, Brandon McNulty and Marc Soler.

Dutch teams
Trek-Segafredo has other goals. Bauke Mollema’s team wants to win at least one stage and hopes with Danish sprinter Mads Pedersen to wear yellow during the first days in Denmark.

The Dutch teams Team Jumbo-Visma and DSM previously announced their selections. At Team Jumbo-Visma they go for the classification with Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard, DSM goes for stage wins. Steven Kruijswijk is the only Dutchman for Jumbo-Visma, Nils Eekhoff and Martijn Tusveld start for DSM.
