Moderate Juventus gets away well in the final phase, but wins thanks to Ronaldo

Juventus has taken a big step towards the Italian league title by winning the top match against SS Lazio with narrow figures. Two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo were enough to break a series of three games in a row without a win: 2-1.

Juventus had not won three games and so the pressure was full for the top match against Lazio, which is not in the best of its own. The audience for television was presented with a little sparkling top duel. Juventus was again mediocre, but managed to keep Lazio in the pliers. Alex Sandro was the closest to a goal with a header on the post. Ciro Immobile also hit the ironwork once.

Only after half-time, the game started when Ronaldo decorated a penalty and also used it. He shot on the opponent’s arm and received a penalty for it: 1-0. After a defensive foul by Lazio, Juventus even made it 2-0, after the non-selfish Paulo Dybala gave the ball to Ronaldo, for whom typing was a breeze.

The victory seemed to be in, although Juventus refused to throw the game in the slot. That gave Lazio the opportunity to pull out a final offensive. The Romans made it exciting in the final phase from the spot after Leonardo Bonucci gave away a penalty. Visitors were able to give something back via Immobile. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was still close to 2-2.

With four games to go, Juventus’ lead at number two Internazionale is eight points. Lazio drops to fourth place in Serie A.
