BOSTON – The Boston Red Sox finalized a one-year, $ 10 million pact with right-hander Garrett Richards on Wednesday.
His salary in 2021 will be $ 8.5 million. There is a $ 10M option for next year, with an indemnity of $ 1.5M.
Richards is 47-41 and is averaging 3.62 in 10 seasons with the Los Angeles Angels and San Diego Padres.
He signed 15 wins in 2015 with the Angels.
Following a Tommy John surgery in 2018, he missed the majority of the 2019 season.
Last year, he posted a 2-2 return and a 4.03 GPA.
