The Miss Czech Republic 2024 beauty pageant is one step closer to the finals. Last week, the jury, headed by the president of the competition, Taťána Makarenko, announced which ten girls will compete live on Nova TV this year for the beauty crown and the title of Czech Miss World and will go to represent our country at the most prestigious world competition.
Tatiana, how satisfied are you with this year’s ten girls?
I think it is very diverse this year. I had some girls in my head from the beginning, others surprised me and made it to the top only on the basis of the last two challenges.

How many girls did they surprise?
I changed two girls in the last challenge. They were originally supposed to drop out, but they convinced me that they had potential. So it turned out the way it did and I’m satisfied. And I’m a little calm now. Every time a ten is selected, emotions come and I wonder if I did the right thing or not. But I have already accepted the result as a fact, I will not change it. I think all the selected girls deserve it. We’ll see how their journey continues.
What awaits the girls now?
We have finished their introduction. We also presented a new crown for the winner, as well as an apartment that she will get to use, as well as our new Mister, who will fly to the Supranational competition, where Jakub Vitek was last year and placed as Mister Europe, i.e. the best from Europe. Last year’s winner Krystyna Pyszková also flew to India for Miss World a few days ago, there’s a lot going on. I’ll admit that I haven’t been in my best skin in the last few days, but I can’t help it. It’s challenging, but never has it been.
Two well-known girls are also fighting for the Miss Czech Republic crown. They will not have protection
The girls also have a training session abroad. Where will they go this year?
I already have an inkling, but I don’t want to reveal it until I have a signed contract. Anyway, there will be a training camp, we will fly to it in March, and I can reveal that it will be outside of Europe. We chose from two destinations, so we’ll see. Of course, we always have to orientate ourselves to make sure it’s nice and not far away, which this year’s destination should meet again. We will announce it in time.
Do you take the training as preparation for the finals?
At the foreign training camp, we mainly create content, which the audience can then see in television footage. Medallions and trailers are also made there, which run on TV about a month before the finale. And of course we take pictures and shoot various videos there.

So, since when does the preparation take place?
The preparation as such takes place from now until the finals, which will take place in May, and of course continues at the training camp. The girls have a lot to do, but we’re just getting started.
Will spectators be able to participate this year? Will there be online voting?
As every year we have a vote on the website at www.missczechrep.cz, where Miss Social Media is voted on. She is actually Miss Sympathy – the voice of the people. We’ll see which girl she becomes this year. The jury will then select the girls who will win all the major titles.
