The two attacks perpetrated by hooded individuals a few days apart worry the inhabitants of Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur. This is making headlines in this peaceful town. The affairs would not be linked but a gendarmerie investigation is underway.
It is the emotion in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur where two assaults were perpetrated in just a few days. Each time it was hooded people who attacked people in the street.
Unpublished facts in this commune of the Dijon agglomeration which is usually rather quiet.
An assaulted child
Thursday, October 28, the individuals first assaulted a 9-year-old child, Ogive district, near the sports hall while he was walking home. An unsuccessful racketeering attempt that would have resulted in insults and a slap in the face.

A young kidnapped
Then, four days later, Sunday, October 31, it was the turn of a young man in his twenties. He was reportedly kidnapped four hours before being released. Violated, he would have been forced to withdraw money from this bank distributor and give it to his attackers, also hooded.
Two news items that surprised and plunged the inhabitants of the town into concern. “I’ve been here for over thirty years, I’ve never had any problems “, explains a resident of the town. Another resident wonders. “We feel safe (in Chevigny, editor’s note) we are surprised by these events which seem oversized to us compared to what we are currently experiencing”.
Two separate cases
An investigation was opened, entrusted to the gendarmerie. The two cases would not be linked, according to the prosecution, which recognizes that facts of such seriousness are unusual in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur.
For the mayor of the town, it is a question of reassuring his citizens. “The gendarmerie with whom I am in daily contact on this affair is working discreetly to find the perpetrators, we must trust our gendarmes. I hope that they will find the perpetrators, that they will deliver them to justice and that she punish them very severely ”, explains Guillaume Ruet, mayor of Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur (LR).
On the investigation side, technical investigations, in particular the analysis of video surveillance images, are underway.
