Minsa: Peru applied more than 21 million doses of the vaccine against COVID-19

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced this Saturday that, as of 6:02 p.m., more than 21 million doses of the vaccine against COVID-19.

The health authority specified that 21,173,242 doses of the immunizer have been applied, achieving that 12,326,978 people have the first dose and 8,846,264 people have the full two-dose schedule.

As is known, the campaign of vaccination against COVID-19 going at a good pace in the country. To do this, this Saturday, September 11 and Sunday, September 12, a new edition of the Vaccination O VaccineFest against COVID-19 in Metropolitan Lima, Callao and Ica.

The activity seeks immunize to people over 27 years of age or those who have not applied the first or second dose.

COVID-19 situation

The Ministry of Health reported that, on Friday, September 10, there were 560 new infections and 17 deaths due to COVID-19. It also specified that 52 people were discharged from hospital.

Since the arrival of coronavirus to Peru, 17 191 030 people have been sampled, of which 2 160 327 have tested positive for COVID-19.

In addition, from the figure of infected, 198 728 people have died and 3 623 remain hospitalized, while 2 134 334 have been discharged.
