“We are very interested that those who have not finished vaccinating themselves with the third or fourth dose against covid-19 do so, because the vaccine protects us from cases of complex sequelae,” he said during his visit to the National Maternal Perinatal Institute ( INMP ). ).
As new variants of Covid-19 emerge, the bivalent vaccine will benefit people with protection against the original virus and the BA.4 and BA.5 omicron variants.
It should be noted that the Omicron variant continues to predominate in infections worldwide and its subvariants are the cause of the third, fourth and fifth waves in Peru.
