“We also on the surveillance side also continue to monitor the presence of new variants, both the Mu variant and the Lambda variant, including the Delta mutation variants that exist in Indonesia,” said Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin.

“And that’s what we monitor closely to make sure we are ready and not too late if there is an entry of these new mutations throughout Indonesia. We guard it quite strictly at all our borders,” said Budi.

The government strengthens the Corona virus vaccination. As of today, 94 million Indonesians have been vaccinated with the first dose. Indonesia is ranked fifth in the world for carrying out the first dose of vaccination.

“We have gone up one level following Japan, which is around 80 million people,” said Budi.

As for the whole, Budi said Indonesia was ranked 6th in the world. Indonesia currently has injected a total of 148 million doses.
