The Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion also explained that “epidemiological surveillance seeks to broaden the diagnostic panorama and in many circumstances it is not possible to have the laboratory result, but by analyzing the situation, the context, if a person had contact with someone who has a laboratory diagnosis of Covid-19, it is inferred that that person who has the same symptoms has Covid-19, we do not need to have the laboratory result, as long as it is an epidemiological surveillance system that wants to find the reality as widely as possible ”.
