The Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, through the National Book and Reading Fund and its program for the Internationalization of Books and Chilean Authors, announces the opening of the Support Line for the dissemination of works, authors and the publishing industry, 1st. Semester 2024.
This call aims to provide total or partial support for participation in International Book Fairs, Festivals and instances related to the world of books and reading abroad for authors, illustrators, translators, literary agents, booksellers /as, distributors and cultural journalists, among others.
Modalities
This call contemplates the following modalities and sub-modalities:
1.-Support for attendance at international book fairs in Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Lima
In turn, this modality contemplates the following sub-modalities:
- Authors and works
- book professionals
2.-Support for the dissemination of authors and book professionals to attend other fairs, festivals and instances related to the world of books and reading abroad

The projects that are executed between April and Mayif selected, they will sign an agreement under the resource reimbursement modality. In this way, once the project has been executed and the accountability and activity report have been approved, the respective resources will be reimbursed to the Responsible Party.
The projects that are executed between June and Augustthe modality that the agreement for the execution of resources will contemplate will be advance.
Fundable expenses
- Operating expenses intended to finance round-trip land and/or air tickets from the city of residence in Chile or abroad of the natural person who will represent you in the instance.
- Operating expenses intended to finance travel insurance. It is stated that no luggage, fuel or toll surcharges will be financed.
- Operating expenses intended to finance accommodation, food and internal transfers. Keep in mind that these must have a direct relationship with the execution of your project and within the framework of the proper fulfillment of its objectives and must be carried out within its execution deadlines.
- Operating expenses destined to finance the rental of rooms, halls and registration of the event.
The maximum amount to be financed per project is $4,000,000 (four million Chilean pesos).
