Ministers, including the Prime Minister of Jordan, received the vaccine first to promote vaccination against the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

Jordanian Prime Minister Bashir Alhasaune, along with other ministers, received a vaccine from the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinopharm on the 10th (local time), AFP reported.

Health Minister Nazir Obeidat said at a press conference that “a number of other ministers, including me, received a Chinese vaccine in clinical trials with the Prime Minister.”

“All the vaccines brought in by the government are safe and effective,” he said, and asked the Jordanians to vaccinate them.

Jordan plans to vaccinate nationwide on the 13th.

To this end, Pfizer-Bioentech approved the emergency use of the vaccine and made the same decision on the Sinofam vaccine on the 9th.

China’s Sinopharm has said its vaccine is 79% effective against Corona 19.

The Jordanian government plans to provide free vaccines to foreign residents as well as their own citizens.

According to Jordan, the number of cumulative corona 19 confirmed cases reached 305,000 and 4,000 deaths according to official statistics.
