The Hague – About three years after Michael P. was able to murder Anne Faber due to blunders in forensic care, Minister Dekker (Legal Protection) came up with a vision to make the sector safer. Despite several violent incidents with mentally ill offenders, the minister says he never thought of leaving. “From day one, my motivation was to protect the Netherlands against types like Michael P.”
