Millions of Egyptian and African football fans are awaiting the draw for the Cup tournament Africa Nations 2023 It is scheduled to be held in Côte d’Ivoire during the period from January 13 to February 11 of 2024, where it will be held in the city of Abidjan, the Ivorian capital, at exactly ten o’clock tonight, Cairo time.

The draw ceremony will be broadcast on the official channel of the CAF website on YouTube, in addition to the beIN Sports news channel.

The Egyptian national team qualified for the finals after topping its group in the qualifiers.

The tournament will be held in a group system at the beginning, where the teams will be divided into 6 groups, with 16 teams qualifying for the knockout rounds, the 12 who are in first and second place, and 4 of the best third-place finishers.

The Egyptian national team came in the first classification, which means that it will not be placed with the teams of the same classification in the group stage, which are the teams of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal.

The participating teams are divided into 6 groups, with each group including 4 teams, provided that it includes one team from each classification.

The classification of the 2023 African Nations Championship teams is as follows:

First classification: Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia and Algeria.

Second classification: Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Third classification: South Africa, Cape Verde, Guinea, Zambia, Mauritania and Equatorial Guinea.

Fourth classification: Mozambique, Gambia, Angola, Namibia, Tanzania and Guinea Bissau.

The Senegal national team holds the championship title in the last edition in Cameroon, while the Egyptian national team took second place.

Egypt is still the team that has won the title the most, with 7 times, followed by Cameroon, 5 times, and Ghana, 4 times.

The African Cup of Nations was established in 1957 and was the first country to host it, Sudan. The country with the record number of wins is Egypt, with seven championships, followed by Cameroon, with five championships, and then Ghana, with four championships.
