Bulgaria will send some of the weapons it has identified as a priority to Ukraine. This emerged after today’s secret meeting of the defense and foreign policy committees. In it, the people’s representatives approved the list of armaments with which our country will help Kiev. The decision will be supplemented so that it is clear that the help we will provide now will not be a one-off.
Representatives of “Vazrazhdane” and BSP voted against sending weapons to Ukraine.
“I cannot comment on specific nomenclature, the armament is such that it is among the top 3 priorities of the Ukrainian army, the Ukrainian state,” said Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov.
“The important thing is that the list that is being provided now is the first step from here on to continue helping Ukraine, together with our allies, as well as receiving compensatory equipment,” said Hristo Gadjev, chairman of the committee of defence.
“What we are doing right now is neither fish nor crab. We are giving a weapon that will not affect the theater of war in any way, and at the same time we will join the front of the warring states. What we are doing at the moment is very reminiscent of the events of 1941,” said Nikolay Drenchev from “Vazrazhdane”.
