Ashton Kutcher had bought a ticket for a space flight from Virgin Galactic, Richard Branson’s company. But his then-pregnant wife Mila Kunis was afraid something would happen to him, and asked him not to go. Kutcher then sold his ticket.

Suffering from hormones
“Nine years ago he suddenly said: ‘I have a ticket to go to space’. And I replied, ‘Oh okay. Fun.’ But the years passed and suddenly we had a baby. And he said again, “I’m going into space.” To which I said, ‘That’s irresponsible. You can not do it. You are a father.’ I was having so much trouble with my hormones, so I said, ‘You can’t go, you’re going to die! That thing is going to explode and you’re going to die and leave me with the kids.’” She then asked him to sell the ticket. “Whatever he does, as the sweet man he is.”

She now regrets that. “I hate it. I’m also such a big fan of ‘Star Trek’. Not letting him go into space was very selfish of me. But I was a new mother and I thought, ‘You can’t leave me alone with the babies.’ That’s where that decision came from. I want everyone to know that I would let him go into space right now, but unfortunately it’s too late now.”

Not every day in the bath
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have two children together: Wyatt (6) and Dimitri (4). In the podcast ‘Armchair Expert’, the couple recently revealed that they don’t wash their children every day. Only when they are really covered in dirt, do the children take a bath. “Where I grew up as a child there was no hot water, so I didn’t shower much anyway,” Mila explains. And that habit is continued in their children. “When I had children, I didn’t wash them every day either.” Her husband Ashton added that there is “no point” washing them unless you can see the dirt on them.

The couple themselves no longer take a shower every day. Ashton revealed that he actually only washes his armpits and crotch on a daily basis. “I do tend to throw some water in my face after a workout to get all the salts out.”
