Migros Aare, which operates in the cantons of Bern, Aargau and Solothurn, suffered a 1.8 percent decline in sales last year. Profit also fell. However, Migros Aare was able to increase cash flow and customer contacts.

As the cooperative announced on Monday, it generated sales of CHF 3.344 billion – around 60 million less than in the previous year. Profit fell by CHF 9.9 million to CHF 25.2 million. In contrast, cash flow rose by CHF 19 million to CHF 238 million, which Migros Aare justifies with cost savings.
