Microsoft has made a difficult decision that affects all Xbox owners, with the company announcing that all uncertified devices will stop working as of November 17.

Some users reported on the forums that an error message with the number 0x82d60002 began to appear on the screen, saying, “The accessory connected to the Xbox is not officially approved. Using unapproved accessories harms your gaming experience. For this reason, the unapproved accessory will be blocked from use.”
According to some publications, accessories, in addition to controllers sold from stores outside of Xbox systems, will be affected by this update.

The site indicates ““Windows Central” E-mail indicated that this problem will represent a major shift in the players’ experience on all accessories, which do not have the official stamp of approval from “Xbox.”
Some users are circulating information that this new decision comes as a result of studies that Microsoft has worked on recently, in order to implement new security measures to impose restrictions on entries that could add unfair advantages in games, or tamper with the laws and ways of enjoying the Xbox device.
While it is not known how many of these accessories will be affected by this policy, it is expected that devices produced by Turtle Beach and Razer will be safe thanks to their inclusion of a Microsoft-certified security chip.
