Microsoft has announced that its popular predictive typing feature is coming soon to Word on Mac.
The Editor Text Predictions tool anticipates what you’re going to type next and suggests words or phrases as you type, which could speed up the typing process for those with slow typing.
However, Apple customers will have to be patient, as the feature isn’t expected to be available until September.
Enhanced Microsoft Word
When the feature finally rolls out on Mac, Office 365 users will be able to turn it on by going to the status bar and choosing “Text Predictions: On.”
To accept the suggested text, press the “Tab” or “Right Arrow” key on your keyboard and continue typing. And to ignore a suggestion, keep typing or press “Esc”, and the suggestion will disappear.
Although users of Word on Mac will celebrate the update, some components of Microsoft’s office suite have their functions cut.
For example, the company recently announced that the Money in Excel offer will be removed from its spreadsheet software starting in June 2023.
The tool allowed users to automatically extract financial data from bank accounts, credit cards and investments to address budgeting and better manage their finances.
Sadly, Office 365 prices have also risen across the board, after more than a decade of minimal, if any, changes.
As of March 15, all Microsoft 365 business plans have increased in price, with the most complete package (Microsoft 365 E3) now costing €22.60 per user per month in Spain (a steal compared to the US). , where it costs $36.00 per year per user) . Fortunately, these price changes do not apply to the company’s consumer or educational products.
