Microsoft: Windows 11 version 22H2 causes problems with some apps and games – Informatics – What’s new

Aside from all the unproductive new features, including icons instead of plain text for copy/pasting in the context menu, extra options that need to be opened with a click in the context menu, the taskbar (combine, drag to) and, e.g. example, the start button suddenly no longer appearing on the left, is by far our biggest problem with 22H2 RDP has been broken since the October update. RDP will no longer work if you can’t create UDP on your remote desktop gateway. But if it’s behind a balancer, the chance you get UDP through it is small. Result: no more connection.
We have countless customers and home workers who simply click Update as soon as Microsoft rolls out a new update. And then we can implement a workaround again (fortunately, there is one).
And the bugs will always be there, that’s not bad in itself. But the aforementioned UDP bug is still present in the November update as well. This, coupled with the much less productive UI (because more clicks are needed for many things), means that I really don’t see the added value of W11 in the business world anymore. The underlying OS is fine but the UI? We hang m on machines we manage for as long as possible.
