Microsoft to host digital ID@Xbox event on August 10 – Gaming – News

yes because playing 60fps games is of course VERY new….

Apparently, because on the previous generation this was the thing that was by far the most moaned about. And here on Tweakers in literally every article. I’ve never had such an FPS obsession myself, but I can’t deny that it’s a relief to play some killer backlog on PS5.

The launch games are of course a joke, both xbox and ps especially if you look at games that were available on launch day with a ps3/xbox360 and ps4/xbox one.

But… do you also believe this yourself? Or are you just typing away?
Launch day or launch year is by definition a startup phase. With all those consoles. You have fewer games and they don’t look as groundbreaking as end-gen yet. No… frkn… shit.

Cross gen releases may be a bit newer, not because console builders didn’t want that before, but because of the architecture. And people should be happy with this, because the majority of gamers do not buy a console at launch, in fact it is often not possible at all. Because what is now happening with PS5 and Series X, was already happening with the Wii, PS4 and Switch. They are not available.
And cross-gen support is far from new. Man that PS2 games came out endlessly and the PS3 has also supported Sony for a long time. You can’t just approach that negatively.

Besides… Xbone launch? How can you use that as an argument? Man that console was almost dead for the first 2 years (no offense). The PS4 also had a slow start. I don’t remember X360 as well, but when I read this:
“Perfect Dark Zero might have been a divisive prequel to Rare’s N64 classic, but Zero’s 32-player multiplayer support would ultimately help Xbox 360 owners through a pretty dry launch window”, klinkt dat vergelijkbaar.

It sometimes sounds like here on Tweakers people have experienced a launch year for the first time. Or at all be new to gaming. The PS5 launch isn’t that absurdly bad and Series X also does cool things, although I have the impression that the emphasis is different there because 90% of the time it is about Game Pass.
