All keys on key sites are illegal, it is better to use an activator because then you get a better activation. I bought them as a test just to find out.
We have a number of flavors.
– OEM keys – Often stickers on computers that were resold. A real one is around a hundred euros. Did you get it from a key site? Then it’s tied to the PC they plucked it from. Such a license often requires phone activation, and phone activation is seen as a kind of activation crack that is less strict.
– MSDN keys – These are often incorrectly sold as retail, especially with office products. The scammer generates the free keys via an MSDN account and sells them on. Such keys are usually revoked by Microsoft over time.
– Real retail keys – You will also come across these, the real retail keys that really give you a license. So technically, these are ok, right? Not exactly. These are often purchased with credit card fraud or resold to too many people. So these too will quickly be blacklisted the moment Microsoft finds out.
– Student licenses – At Slim or other sites that check if you are a student legally if you are a student.
There are simply no licenses that are that far below the price so everyone who offers it is playing tricks. For comparison, a good activator reports to Microsoft as if you have done a free upgrade, so that you are assigned a permanent unique license for your motherboard that they will not blacklist either.
If you can’t pay Windows for the full price, it’s not recommended to give your money to scammers who sell your illegal keys on. You are then not entitled to the product and only Windows activated. If that’s what you’re after, it’s better to ignore this illegal market and do it in a different way. But it is best to purchase Windows through official channels.
