Microsoft will release many of the previously announced features for Windows 11 starting Tuesday, including tabs in File Explorer and the integration of iCloud Photos into the Photos app, the company says.
The features will be available in an optional preview release from Tuesday and will be in the stable version of Windows 11 with the November update, Microsoft says. In addition to the tabs in File Explorer and the iCloud Photos integration, if users have installed the corresponding app, there are other new features.
For example, the taskbar gets an overflow menu with app icons for which there is no space, and users can access the task manager by right-clicking on the taskbar. There will also be an option in Windows that suggests actions when selecting text. With a date, this is, for example, creating a calendar item. The features were all announced earlier this year.
