Microsoft Outlook suffers from bug that automatically deletes emails – Tablets and Phones – News

There is an error in Microsoft Outlook that causes some emails to accidentally delete emails. This happens with email accounts configured with pop. Outlook also had problems earlier this month.

The issues are in the Outlook 365 app with version number 2006 and build number 13001.20266, with the issues also occurring with newer versions of the email program. Microsoft warns that email accounts using the protocol pop may experience an error that removes “three or more emails.” By the way, this only happens to users who have enabled the Download Headers Only option. Those who download their emails via imap or Exchange do not seem to be bothered by the problems.

Microsoft is still investigating the bug, but a workaround has already been posted on the support page to revert to an earlier version of the Outlook software. It is not yet clear when a software update will be released to fix the problem.

The company identified the bug earlier this month. Also reported Microsoft has an issue with a crash in Outlook caused by a recent update. It is unclear whether both problems have anything to do with each other.
