Microsoft Flight Simulator problem solved thanks to Valve. Players can stop bombing production

Steam representatives extended a helping hand to Microsoft Flight Simulator players. Fixed an issue where the title was mostly negatively rated. Valve users can easily download the game without worrying about possible refund difficulties.

Microsoft Flight Simulator collects extremely positive opinions from journalists from around the world, although some opinions are criticized by players using Steam who they started bombing production from the premiere. The game has performance issues, which Asobo Studio is already trying to solve, but Valve also wants to support Microsoft’s production.

The download process itself was a big problem for many players going on air voyages in Microsoft Flight Simulator: at the beginning they had to download the client (523MB), thanks to which they were able to download 127GB of the game itself. As a result of the applied solution, a large group of game buyers could not use the refund option – according to Steam rules, after a maximum of 2 hours of checking the game, it can be returned to the digital store.

Valve comes to the rescue. The editors of PC Gamer received an important message from Doug Lombardi (vice president of marketing) who confirmed that the time needed to download the game will not be included in the refund system:

“The time it takes to download additional content will not count towards Steam’s Refund Policy. We are working with Microsoft to see if we can improve download quality. “

Valve is also considering a faster download option, so it seems very likely that soon players will not only receive a polished game (the update is already in progress), but will be able to download the title without much difficulty as the process will be smoother.
