Michelle Obama weighs in on division between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s family

Like many, Michelle Obama was shocked by the interview Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave Oprah Winfrey. The former American first lady gave her opinion on the tensions that exist between the couple and the royal family of England.

“When I think about what they are going through, I think about the importance of family and I just pray that there is forgiveness and there is clarity and love, and it is resolved at some point,” Barack Obama’s wife told Access Hollywood. “There is nothing more important than family.”

During the interview Markle revealed that she had felt depressed to the point of thinking about suicide. He also said that there were “concerns” within the royal family of England about the skin color of his son Archie, whether he would be born with lighter skin like that of his father, Prince Harry, or darker like his mother’s. Meghan Markle and her maternal grandmother Gloria Ragland. The statements caused a global commotion.

Queen Elizabeth said that the “whole family is saddened” after learning how difficult the last years had been for Harry and Meghan, and assures that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their baby Archie are “very dear” to them.

For his part, Prince William also reacted to his brother Harry’s interview, assuring: “We are not a racist family.”
