Mexico seventh in the world in deaths of COVID-19 with 26,648

The Ministry of Health (SSA) announced this Sunday, June 28, that Mexico accumulates 216,852 cases of coronavirus COVID-19. As well as 64,143 official deaths on this twenty-eighth day of the “New Normal”.

From the National Palace, Dr. Hugo López-Gatell explained that 26,648 people have been confirmed with the virus in the last 14 days in an epidemic that continues to be “active” not only in Mexico but throughout the world.

Dr. Gatell also detailed that there are currently 64,143 suspected cases of COVID-19.

He warned that COVID-19 will be with us for “a long time”, it is not yet known, but he explained that it could remain for years with returns, relapses and outbreaks, “it is a reality from which we cannot escape”López-Gatell said.
