Mexican Player Edson Álvarez Shines with West Ham in Premier League – Coach Praises Defensive and Offensive Performances

Edson Álvarez is living his first season with West Ham like a dream. Recently the Mexican was recognized after having scored the best goal in the month of December and now his team highlighted his defensive work in a video through social networks.

The English team, which is currently in sixth place in the Premier League with 34 points, published a clip where you can see El Machín in action showing off with blocks, sweeps and even intercepting some balls.

A few months after being with the London team, Edson Álvarez has become one of the players to watch thanks to his defensive and offensive performances and even the coach himself has praised him.

“He (Edson Álvarez) did very well.” The assist for the first one was a great pass, then he connected very well with Jarrod (Bowen) and scored a great goal, so I’m very happy for him,” coach David Moyes said about the Mexican after the match against Freiburg.

After his first games in the Premier League, the Mexican was excited to fulfill his dream as a soldier in English soccer. Álvarez detailed how he is living his experience and confessed that he is having a good relationship with his coach.

“At West Ham and in the league, the intensity is incredible, the intensity with which the games are played and after being in an institution like West Ham I feel it in every home game and when we go to visit people never leaves […]. The relationship with him, day by day, is growing more, the trust he has in me and that we have created is increasing,” the tricolor player mentioned in an interview with Paramount+.
