This Monday, elements of the Mexican Army and agents of the National Guard carried out the seizure of weapons, vehicles and tactical equipment in the town of Nicolás Bravo, municipality of Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas.
The elements were carrying out ground reconnaissance in said town, when an armed person was seen, who upon seeing the authorities began to flee on foot, getting lost on the ground, for which the military personnel got out of the vehicles, adopting a security device to recognize the area, locating six abandoned vehicles which were with their doors open and upon carrying out the inspection the seizure was located.
The elements seized six long weapons, 56 magazines Cal. 7.62X39 mm, eight magazines Cal. 5.56X45 mm, two thousand 664 cartridges Cal. 7.62X45 mm, one thousand 060 cartridges Cal. tactical vests (without plates), two buckets and 1 box of tire punctures, six trucks, two motorcycles and 130 doses with characteristics typical of marijuana.
According to the first reports, the operation is the result of intelligence work and inter-institutional coordination to strengthen the rule of law in the country and detect criminal organizations with a presence in said municipality, so the law enforcement forces were aware that, in In the town of Nicolás Bravo, municipality of Chiapa de Corzo, illegal activities were carried out.
