They receive me in their old house in a cul-de-sac where time seems to have stopped, wedged between blocks of buildings and major roads, somewhere between the 8th arrondissement of Lyon and Vénissieux.
Placed next to each other, they hold hands. Their incredible personal story is intimately intertwined with that of the pandemic, since Sylvie joined Christophe on the first day of confinement in France with the last ticket from the last flight departing from Asia where she was working.
The cassette
To understand their story, you have to go back to the end of the 1980s. Sylvie is in first, Christophe in final in the same high school in Haute-Savoie. They hang out with the same group of friends and share a taste for parties and music.
