The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy revealed ways to pay electricity bills and charge prepaid meters, in order to facilitate citizens during this period and take into account the Egyptian state’s plan to take a number of precautionary and preventive measures in order to limit the spread of the new Corona virus.
The Ministry added that this comes in the interest of achieving the efforts of the state to activate the electronic collection services for electricity bills through the “electronic payment code” found on the receipt of electricity bills.
Methods of paying electricity bills
The Ministry announced the ways to pay electricity bills during this stage and we will make it clear to you, through the following report, the most important of which are: –
First: The website of the Holding Company Egypt through (www.eehc.gov.eg) where it is possible to inquire or pay bills.
Second: The invoices are also paid through immediate outlets nationwide.
Third: – Collection points located in the outlets of the collection companies spread all over the Arab Republic of Egypt, including “Post offices – Masary – Bee – Safety – My time – Completeness – Payment – Possible – Guarantor – Agricultural Bank”
Fourth: The bank portfolios provided by many Egyptian banks, including Bank of Egypt, the National Bank, Alexandria Bank, Bloom Bank, CIB, Odeh and Suez, after downloading the application via the bank’s mobile phone.
Fifth: the MyFor application via mobile phone.
Sixth: Bills are also paid through the portfolios of different mobile companies, and the program is downloaded via the Internet through the (App Store -Play Store).
Seventh: Through many ATMs located throughout the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Charging a prepaid electricity meter
- The meters are shipped from the distribution centers of the distribution companies, which number more than one thousand centers.
- The portal of the 60,000 electronic collection companies that are deployed throughout the Republic, namely “Post offices – Possible – Guarantor – Payment – Agricultural Bank – Masary – Bee – Safety – My time – Completely”.
- Instant outlets nationwide.
The Egyptian government is trying during this period to raise the burden on many citizens, in conjunction with the spread of the Corona virus and the state’s precautionary measures to confront Corona, as it allowed everyone to pay bills and charge electricity meters in many of the previous ways in order to preserve the lives and health of citizens in light of the spread of the dangerous virus.
