If the size of the photo is 1000 by 1000 pixels and each pixel can express 100 different colors, then the number of combinations is ten to one hundred. If we think about the content of the book, it will contain a photograph of absolutely everything we have on Earth, but also absolutely everything we don’t have here. And then a lot of nonsense. Birth of the largest Czech observatory
125 years ago, on January 21, 1898, the fine mechanic Josef Frič bought an almost three-hectare, partly wooded plot of land on the top of Manda near the town of Ondřejov for 900 gold. The first, temporary observatory became a wooden shed in an enclosure on a slope. The construction of the observatory did not begin until 1905, when Frič saved up the necessary funds. He made the first astronomical observation at Ondřejov in early August 1906.
