Meta’s Return-To-Office (RTO) Policy: Mandatory In-Office Work Three Times a Week

Meta has reportedly changed the rules for its Return-To-Office (RTO), where employees are now required to come to the office and work normally at least three times a week.

This policy itself is said to be mandatory for its employees who have not worked remotely, and those who cannot comply with it will be subject to the most severe sanctions until they lose their jobs.

Since the COVID-19 case in 2020 began to spread globally, Meta as the parent company of Facebook has provided job relief for its employees to be able to continue working from outside the office. However, after three years, the lockdown has become lighter and the company sees the importance of employees continuing to report to the office directly for a number of jobs.

This policy has only been announced since June 2023 and applies to all employees who have not worked remotely. The company is also committed to distributing work so that employees who work in offices or from home can still have a direct impact on the company. This policy itself will run normally from September 2023.

How about your own office? Is there a policy that you have to work in the office again or are you still allowed to stay at home?
