Meta closes game developer doors Ready at Dawn. It is said that the American tech company made this decision for budgetary reasons. Dawn Ready employees are encouraged to apply for positions with other Oculus Studios developers.

The news broke first Because of Android Central. The tech website said it was able to see a memo announcing the discontinuation of Ready at Dawn. Meta confirmed the news some time later against Gematsu. The company did not say whether more other developers would close.

Ready at Dawn is an American game developer. The studio was founded in 2003 and is known for games such as Daxter, God of War: Chains of Olympus, God of War: Ghost of Sparta and The Order: 1886. In 2017, the developer released a VR game Lone Echo, followed by Echo Arena and Echo Combat in 2018 and Lone Echo II in 2021. Meta, then known as Facebook, received the developer in 2020.
