Messi is accused of disrespecting Pochettino regarding his COVID status

Comeback Lionel Messi together Paris St. Germain overshadowed by slanted accusations. Messi accused of disrespect Mauricio Pochettino when he tested positive for the corona virus recently.

The Argentine football superstar was infected with COVID-19 while spending time in his hometown last week. Thus, Messi had to undergo self-isolation for several days so he missed defending PSG in the 4-0 win over Vannes in the Coupe de France.

The problem is that Messi is reportedly not telling about his health status to Pochettino or PSG. The Argentinian coach was reportedly aware of Messi’s condition from a third party.

Former PSG player between 2004 and 2009, Jerome Rothen, has strongly criticized Lionel Messi’s behavior. According to Rothen, it was like a slap in the face to Pochettino.

“You have to always respect your coach, this is what I was taught at Clairefontaine,” Rothen told Radio Montecarlo. Daily Mail.

“The coach has to be above everyone, it doesn’t matter if he is a star or a young player, the coach has to be the head. Pochettino didn’t know where he was. Messi are, and that explains a lot. It’s not a good thing and I think it’s a very surprising behavior from Messi.”

“Pochettino not respected by Lionel Messi. The coach has to be a tough person, a person who shows real values. The only person who really respects him, in my opinion, is Kylian Mbappe and I don’t see that with the other players.”

“If you don’t respect your coach then you can’t be successful. PSG have suffered a lot from this in recent years,” added Rothen.

Currently Lionel Messi already negative for COVID. The winner of the seven Ballon d’Or has arrived in Paris to join his teammates in preparing for the match at Olympique Lyon’s headquarters on Monday (10/1/2022) WIB.
