There was nothing to collect in the hit match of the 25th round of Ligue 1. Paris Saint-Germain effectively won against Olympique Marseille 3:0. Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi played a fantastic game, taking an active part in every goal.

Until the 25th minute, the match between Olympique Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain was balanced with a slight indication of the hosts. Then, however, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi launched the “machine” mode. The two of them mashed OM’s defense and put an end to any excitement in four minutes. First Mbappe scored after Messi’s assist, then the roles were reversed. And it could have been even higher, because the Argentine missed the goal from five meters, and the Frenchman disregarded the situation alone with Pau Lopez and did not even shoot.

However, still at 0:0, Nuno Tavares had a great opportunity, who got a great perpendicular pass from Ruslan Malinovsky. He had only Gianluigi Donnarumma in front of him, but he lingered for a long time before taking a shot and finally managed to block it by one of the defenders.

Theoretically, it was a match between the second and the first team in Ligue 1, but – especially after the second goal for the Parisians – the excitement was completely over. The guests achieved a significant advantage and in the clash with their eternal rival they were definitely better, they dictated the conditions of the game and controlled the events on the pitch. The only thing that may worry Paris fans is a very bad looking injury to Presnel Kimpembe. The Frenchman in one of the actions simply fell on the pitch and did not get up for a few minutes. He was carried off on a stretcher, and when he returned to the bench in the second half, he moved on crutches.

Three weeks ago, Marseille beat PSG in the 1/8 finals of the Coupe de France. How different was the game in the league. In the second half, the difference between the teams became even more apparent. Mbappe and Messi continued their concert, resulting in a third goal. Messi played perfectly into the penalty area, and Mbappe increased his goal tally with a shot from the air.

Of course, it was not that the hosts did not create anything, but it was more due to the few mistakes of the rivals. Donnarumma failed once when he went out of the box and narrowly missed being lobbed by Alexis Sanchez. Later, however, the Italian fully redeemed himself, fantastically defending the same player’s header from five meters, and in the very end he showed off, stopping Vitinha. Nevertheless, there were far too few such opportunities to think about any points scored in the clash with the leader.
