SAN ANTONIO – In some businesses located in the famous Market Square, robberies have been reported during the celebration of Fiesta San Antonio 2021. Therefore, the owners ask the authorities for more security to prevent criminal incidents.
“They cut off the closure, just like my neighbor, the closures of our tents and they wanted to take out our wallets,” explained the merchant Sebastiana Lee.
“We come to sell, to raise the economy of our town San Antonio and we would like there to be more security,” he added.
For his part, Javier Salazar, Bexar County Sheriff, said that it seems better to him if every day the merchants take the merchandise to his house and take it back.
“Do not have much cash, carry your ID or license and your bank card and in the bag in front,” Salazar recommended to the attendees.
There is still the last weekend of Fiesta, where the arrival of thousands of people is expected and merchants trust that this type of robbery will not happen again.
