The General Secretariat of Mental Health and Addiction Treatment has invited all specialists in mental health, community initiatives and psychiatric departments in Egyptian universities to attend remote training on providing psychological support to those infected with the new Corona virus, the families of the injured and the treatment team in isolation hospitals and the rest of society, in the framework of efforts to confront The epidemic.

This comes within the framework of the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment initiative to unify efforts directed at providing psychological support to various groups of society during the spread of the Corona epidemic 19.

The Secretariat stated that, immediately after the publication of the registration form last Saturday, it had received approximately 1500 requests from individuals and entities concerned with psychological support during crises (doctors, psychologists, social workers and nursing).

Within two days, the General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment trained approximately 150 mental health professionals, using the Internet as a means of remote communication.

The training included treatment skills and techniques used at the time of major accidents, and some foreign and Egyptian experts also trained.
