A few days after the “assizes of mental health and psychiatry”, sixteen member organizations of Uniopss (including APF France handicap, the Federation of Solidarity Actors, Unafam….) Welcome “Most of the announcements of the President of the Republic” such as the strengthening of medico-psychological centers (CMP) and mutual aid groups (GEM) or the reimbursement of psychologists.
Nevertheless, they are worried about the means granted (spread over three or five years), “The needs are so important” and hope that the commitments will continue after the presidential elections in spring 2022.
In addition, they regret that certain subjects have been little discussed, such as support for people with mental disabilities, taking charge of the public under the control of justice or medico-social approaches to reduce risks and damage.
In addition, they call for a work of « capitalisation » on territorial mental health projects (PTSM), tools “Essential to guarantee better coordination and decompartmentalization of actors”.
For its part, the Association of Itep and their networks (AIRe) asks to be associated with the creation of “children’s homes”, announced by Emmanuel Macron, in four departments.
