Tamás Märcz said before the match that it was “In Friday’s match against the Russians on 19-14, there were a lot of 14 goals scored, I hope there will be more attention in the defense against the Croatians.”

Well, the team scored fewer goals, yet they couldn’t be happy in the end.

This time, the federal captain Tamás Märcz gave several key players a rest, so the two Olympic champions of the frame, the captain Dénes Varga and Norbert Hosnyánszky did not jump into the pool either.

Although the Hungarian national team scored the first goal, the Croatians took the lead and went 5–3. We still managed to catch them at 5-5, but the translation didn’t come together anymore, and from then on, ours just ran after the result. Krisztián Manhercz and Gergő Zalánki played great, but that was not enough either, the Croats finally won the match 13–11.

With this victory, the Croatians must have already won the tournament.
